My friend Willie asked me why the photo you see on the far left, in the sidebar, isn't larger.

I told him that everything on a blog takes time and I hadn't had time to work out why it isn't larger, or how to make it larger. I think the TypePad blog software trims down photos which it considers to be too large for the sidebar.

However, I know that TypePad will let me put larger photos in a blog post, so I've put the photo in this post until I can work out how to make the sidebar image larger.  Tricky eh?

If you click on the photo it should get even larger. The photo was taken in my backyard and is a of a perentie -  Varanus giganteus. Do you see the resemblance to Varanus varanus - the Komodo dragon?
